Dogfish Head 75 Minute

Dogfish Head 75 Minute IPA is a blend of 60 and 90 Minute IPAs with a special whole leaf cascade dry-hopping session before being transferred into firkins and dosed with fresh yeast and maple syrup .

75 Minute poured a a very cloudy, cider color with no head. The aroma is subdued, little malty, with some sweetness. The body is smooth, juicy in middle with a touch of syrup before a sharp, hop bitterness on the backend . The finish leaves a huge lingering dryness that wears on the palate as the beer progresses.

Overall, this is a really nice beer that is much better suited for a cask than a bottle. It blends positive aspects of the 60 and 90 minute beer with the blend giving the body a thick, muddled taste. There is a lot going on which allows the big flavors to be a little more subtle, and the maple syrup helps to balance the monster dry hopped backend. This is a must try if you can find it.
