Abita Amber Lager

Abita Amber poured a clear amber color with a finger width, frothy white head. The aroma is mild, dominated mostly by some biscuity malt and nutty notes. The body is smooth and malty with a bready sweetness and a little hoppiness underneath. The finish is pleasant, leaving a light, lingering dryness on the palate. There was a little hanging lace left on the glass.

Overall, this is would make for a great session beer. This amber beer seemed a little pedestrian until it was paired with several spicy foods where it really showed its true depth and flavor profile. Abita Amber is a well balanced, easy drinking beer.
