Abita Amber Lager
Abita Amber poured a clear amber color with a finger width, frothy white head. The aroma is mild, dominated mostly by some biscuity malt and nutty notes. The body is smooth and malty with a bready sweetness and a little hoppiness underneath. The finish is pleasant, leaving a light, lingering dryness on the palate. There was a little hanging lace left on the glass.Overall, this is would make for a great session beer. This amber beer seemed a little pedestrian until it was paired with several spicy foods where it really showed its true depth and flavor profile. Abita Amber is a well balanced, easy drinking beer.

Abita Turbodog
Turbodog poured a chocolate brown color with a thumb width, light tan head. The aroma is mild for a brown ale, and is dominated mostly by roasted malts. The body is smooth and velvety, with little carbonation. There is more roasted malt before some coffee notes on the backend that lead to a lightly bitter finish. Overall, this is an above average brown ale. Abita's beers are usually easy drinking and fit nicely within style guidelines. At a fairly mild 5.6% ABV this would make for a nice session beer.
