Left Hand Milk Stout

Milk Stout poured a black color with a thin, tan head. The aroma had lots of dark malts, a little roasted malts, and a hint of coffee. The body had plenty of malt, light and creamy with a velvety mouthfeel. The milk is clearly noticable. The finish was short, kind of boring, with a slight dryness. This was not one of the better milk stouts I have ever had. The malts and mouthfeel of the body were nice but there was no balance to compliment the smooth texture. Overall, it was just a little too bland for my liking.

While I don't normally enjoy a good stout, I tested this for my beer blog a while back and actually sort of fell in love. Good one to try!
