Headwaters poured a golden, amber color with a paper thin, white head. The nose offers piney hops that are balanced by a nice maltiness. The body starts with a simple malt base up front that is simplistic in flavor but has nice depth. The finish is very dry, with moderate bitterness that gets bigger and becomes the best aspect of this beer.Overall, this is a very, very good pale ale. The balance is great and the body is very clean, allowing the flavors to come through loud and clear. One of the better pale ales available.
