Victory in Kennett: Downingtown–based Brewery Announces Second Brewpub Location in Kennett Square, Pa 

DOWNINGTOWN, PA – Victory® Brewing Company (Victory) is pleased to announce that it will extend its craft beer experience in Chester County, signing a lease with Kennett Square Realty and committing to develop an upscale brewpub, with on-premise brewing and a takeout beer component, in Kennett Square, Pa.

“The announcement is a culmination of nearly a year’s worth of planning and effort, and we couldn’t be more excited than we are today to finally confirm for our excited fans, who have been asking, that yes we are in fact headed to Kennett!” said Matthew Krueger, Vice President of Retail Operations.

The nation’s 26^th largest craft brewery, Victory’s second brewpub location will occupy all 8,234 square feet of the bottom floor of a four-story, luxury apartment building in Kennett Realty Group’s latest upscale townhome, apartment and retail community, Magnolia Place.  Kennett Realty is owned and operated by the Pia Group, who also own Kaolin Mushroom Farms Inc. and South Mill Mushroom Sales.

“We could not have found a better partner than the Pia family, a group that shared—and are now helping us realize—our vision to bring Victory to Kennett,” Krueger continued, a sentiment echoed by Mike Pia, Jr., developer with the Kennett Realty Group.

“Victory’s mission to provide high quality food, a family-friendly environment, and of course, delicious craft beer, all with a focus on community, ethics and environmental stewardship, made them an ideal partner for this project,” said Pia.  “We’re looking forward to the exceptional experience they’ll bring to the community of Magnolia Place and the greater Kennett Square area.”

Called Victory at Magnolia, the location will accommodate a 250-seat restaurant with space for outdoor dining, and boast a chef inspired menu, featuring some of the company’s signature dishes, including their Hand Tossed Pretzel and Wings of Victory.  The space also will be equipped with a five-barrel brew house to keep new, site-specific brews—along with Victory’s existing lineup of world-class ales and lagers—flowing.

Victory at Magnolia is targeted to open in the second quarter, 2014.  The brewery also is finishing construction on its second production brewery in Parkesburg, Pa., expected to be operational this fall.

Victory Brewing Announces Expansion Plans

DOWNINGTOWN, PA – Victory Brewing Company is opening a second brewery in Chester County, Pa., which will allow the company to continue to create new, innovative beers and additional employment opportunities.
In 2012, Victory’s current brewery in Downingtown, Pa. will reach capacity. In order to keep up with consumers’ demand for full-flavored, high quality beer, Victory is forging ahead with expansion plans.

“Our thirsty fans have been asking us for more,” said Bill Covaleski, President and Co-Brewmaster of Victory Brewing Company. “In order to give them what they want, we need more space to make it happen.”

The new brewery location was chosen because of its similarities to Victory’s home in Downingtown. Just as the home brewery recycled an old Pepperidge Farm factory, the expansion brewery is being built within an existing complex in Parkesburg, Pa. The Downingtown location is situated a mere 14 miles from the headwaters of the east branch of the Brandywine Creek and the Parkesburg brewery will be just 17 miles from the headwaters of the west branch.

Environmental impact and water quality were major considerations for this expansion. Nearly eight months of water-quality research found that the mineral composition of the west branch water is nearly identical to the east branch.

In keeping with Victory’s “locally brewed, locally loved” motto, the choice to expand was not made lightly. The Parkesburg location will allow Victory to produce even more locally brewed and locally loved beer.

“Growing into a new facility will have some growing pains,” said Ron Barchet, CEO and Co-Brewmaster of Victory Brewing Company. “But once we are up and running, it will allow us endless opportunities to experiment with new flavors and re-create old favorites.”

Victory Brewing Company Celebrates 16 Years in Business

Brewery launches a mobile app, creates a new beer and throws a party to celebrate.

DOWNINGTOWN, PA – On February 15, Victory Brewing Company turns 16 years old. In typical sweet-sixteen fashion, celebrations will include a big gift and a big party. But in typical Victory fashion, the gift and party are geared toward the fans, not toward the company.

In honor of the tremendous technological growth Victory Brewing Company has experienced in its 16 years, Victory is launching a free mobile app for Android and iPhone users.

“When Ron and I first started Victory Brewing Company, we registered one email address for all business-specific email,” said Bill Covaleski, President and Brewmaster of Victory Brewing Company. “Back then, only serious businesses needed e-mail addresses. What could we possibly need with more than one?”

Now Victory employs 50 corporate employees, each with his or her own email address, manages a web site, blog and social media presence. And, by the end of the month, Victory is going mobile.

"I believe we are ready to enter the 21st century now." Bill said.

A New Beer

To celebrate the sweet victory of turning 16, Victory Brewing Company has created a chocolate beer. Éclat Cocoa Lager is a beer created in collaboration with West Chester, Pa.-based Éclat Chocolate. The dark lager is brewed using the world’s rarest cacao bean, Peruvian Pure Nacional, which offers just a touch of perceived sweetness to the beer.

“Working with Éclat was an obvious choice for us for our birthday beer,” said Ron Barchet, CEO and co-Brewmaster of Victory Brewing Company. “Their dedication to the finest ingredients and flavors mirrors our own.”

Victory’s Éclat Cocoa Lager will be available at select locations in Pa. and NJ for a limited time, on draft only.

The Party: Sweet and Savory Beer Dinner

On February 15, Victory will be hosting its own sweet 16 party. The Sweet and Savory Beer dinner will debut Victory’s Éclat Cocoa Lager and will feature a number of food and beer pairings selected to highlight both sweet and savory flavors.
