Stone's Smoked Porter poured a pitch block color with a small white head. The nose was slightly smokey with some dryer malts. There was more malts on the first palate but not very sweet. The smokiness really starts to come on in the middle. The beer finishes with oasted malts and notes of chocolate. The best beer blog for all of your beer information from the best American Craft breweries.

Anderson Valley Boont Amber Ale
Men's Journal ranked
Anderson Valley's Boont Amber Ale as thier sixth best beer in America. The Amber Ale poured a dark coppor color with a small off white head. The nose gave off a malty aroma and the first palate was sweet with more malts. The middle was light with not much of a body and there were some mild hops on the finish. This beer is consistent and even and would make for a nice session beer during the Summer months.
